“The Little Doctor Is Back” – documentary performance by Czrevo Theater

Arsalan Azzadin, a doctor of medicine of Kurdish origin, works as an internist for the hospital in Bielsk Podlaski. He has lived in Poland for over 40 years now. Thanks to his knowledge of six languages, he was able to get involved in helping the victims of the crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border. In the performance, we learn about his own path to life in Poland and the difficult experiences associated with treating “patients from the forest”. His perspective, as an immigrant and a doctor, is an important voice in the discussion about the situation along Poland’s eastern border.

The performance was created using the method of verbatim theatre; it is based on interviews with Dr. Azzadin.
