Czeremszyna – folk music concert

Czeremszyna is a folk music band from Podlasie, founded in 1993 in Czeremcha. The group draws inspiration from the traditional music of the Polish-Belarusian-Ukrainian borderland, combining authentic sounds with modern arrangements. Their repertoire includes folk songs in original Podlasie dialects, as well as original compositions inspired by the culture of eastern Poland. The musicians use traditional instruments and elaborate polyphonic singing. Their performances are not only a reconstruction of folklore, but also a conscious promotion of regional identity and multicultural heritage of Podlasie.

Over the years, Czeremszyna has performed at many folk festivals in Poland and abroad, winning recognition both among lovers of traditional music and a wider audience. The band actively promotes the culture of Podlasie, organising, among others, the Festival of Many Cultures and Nations “Z wiejskiego podwórza” (From the Country Backyard) in Czeremcha.
